Rita Little Boy Cultural Center
Rita Little Boy was an educated woman who was an advocate for children and education. According to those who knew her, she had a kind heart and was very much a woman of the community.
The Culture Center, the first Community Center to be built and located in the Porcupine District of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, will be named after Rita Little Boy and dedicated to her memory and vision of aiding in the preservation of Traditional Lakota Ways. The Center will be a place of education, community, celebration, respite and personal empowerment.
