The Gwen Phelps England Education Fund

Mrs. Gwen Phelps England

Gathering Thunder Foundation has created an education fund in memory of Mrs. Gwen Phelps England of Hawkinsville, Georgia.   Mrs. England’s lifelong passion for the welfare and wellness of Native America and its First Nations People led her to be a constant and generous donor to Gathering Thunder Foundation’s funding for youth programs.  What initially started out as a scholarship for youth, Gathering Thunder Foundation shifted its focus on helping the hardworking Native American educators across Native America.  Our goal is to assist educators with the needs of their classroom to lessen the burden of out of pocket expenses so that they can focus on mentoring the youth of the future.

A special thank you goes out to Ms. Laura Smith, who donated a significant portion of the seed monies in memory of her parents, Bob and Nancy Grossman.

All financial contributions to this annual scholarship fund are tax-deductible.

If you would like to make an online donation towards this education fund, please do so via Stripe or PayPal. Both online methods are secure and safe. Of course, mail-in donations are welcome too.
